Baby Massage - Dad's Workshop (90 mins)
Saturday 13th April 2-3.30pm
Claudia Johnson
I'm a Wellbeing Coach focused uniquely on helping teens and young people to carryOn/calm with Mindfulness & 'Goal-Getting' sessions.
I also have a real interest and passion for the importance of emotional wellbeing in the early years and support this currently with Baby Massage workshops and courses instilled in Mindfulness for Parents.
Mindfulness is about living more in the present moment, appreciating where we are and what we’re doing and learning to self-regulate to not be overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.
While mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, we’re able to tune into it more when we practice the techniques on a regular basis, with yoga, meditation, breathwork etc.
I follow these practices in my own day-to-day life along with my focus on Self-Development and have combined these to create an introductory program for teens and young people, to see their unique, positive-power, tapping-in to the internal resources that’s inside all of us to cope with life's challenges and to take steps towards bright and fulfilling futures.
I’m committed to learning as much as I can to deepen my own awareness of the challenges that are faced by children, teens and young people and by those around themIn addition to completing the ChargeUp training programme, I achieved the NCFE Cache Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health.
As a mother, I am dedicated to taking a ‘positive parenting’ approach and have attended a number of workshops to learn how I can develop better methods myself and to support others, to open conversation and share advice and ideas from my learning.
For me, Baby Massage is about encouraging the positive relationship between parent’s and their baby’s.
It’s one of the earliest classes that your baby can benefit from using their first language – before they understand words or even see clearly, they can feel.
Loving touch is so powerful for us all – for comfort and connection and as a direct transfer of kind and safe energy.
Flow & Restore Yoga, Thursdays 7.30-8.30pm
Vinyasa Yoga, Tuesdays 7.45-8.45pm
Christina Somovilla
Hatha, Vinyasa Flow yoga
Christina started her yoga journey over 20 years ago as a way to overcome lower back pain and with regular practice she started to feel the benefits of increased flexibility, strength and relaxation. Yoga helped bring her balance, self-awareness and support through health issues, pregnancy and motherhood and inspired her to help others discover the tools to bring balance to their lives. Through her yoga teaching, she hopes to share the benefits of yoga with others to help bring them an increased sense of physical and mental well-being.
Christina teaches yoga with an emphasis on breath and good alignment. Her classes link breath with movement, aiming to create a mindful practice that increases a sense of connection with the body and breath.
She enjoys teaching yoga to a range of ages and abilities and finding ways to empower people to improve their own wellbeing, strength and range of movement.
Kids Yoga (2.5-4yrs), Sundays 12.30pm, Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga, Tuesdays 6.30pm
Alessandra Luti
I am a Yoga teacher with a past as a hip-hop dancer (what a combination, I know!). As an introvert I have always loved anything that has to do with movement and creativity, as a way of expressing my inner world. Also, caring for and supporting people has always been in my nature.
Since I can remember the attraction to Yoga and spirituality has always been part of my life, but it started to become very clear when I joined my first university course in anthropology and eastern philosophies, where this fascinating and immense world started to unfold under my eyes. This inspired me to focus first on my spiritual journey and after, on my asana and pranayama practice.
I truly believe that Yoga is a continuous and transformative life journey that changed the life of many, and the best way to understand this, is by experiencing it, on the mat and in life.
In my teaching I combine my knowledge of Yoga, Pranayama (as a very powerful tool to connect with and heal ourselves) and eastern philosophies, with my passion for supporting others in their personal and unique life journey, adults and kids.
I hope you will give me the honour to be part of yours and to share my practice with you.

Yoga
Fliss Russell
Most of the yoga classes I went to in my 20’s left me cold. I found it difficult to follow the class and I felt stupid. I certainly didn’t want to go back for more!
In my 30’s I finally discovered a class that welcomed complete newcomers with patience and kindness and I soon started to see great improvement in my strength, flexibility and quite unexpectedly my mental health. Now I was hooked!
I'm passionate about keeping my classes accessible and open to anyone who wants to come along - a good yogi isn't someone who aces all the poses, it's someone who listens to their body over the teachers voice and takes things at their own pace - making the practice their own.
To do my classes you don’t need the latest athleisure wear, you don’t need to look a certain way, have a certain level of fitness or understand Sanskrit! You don’t have to have done yoga ever before in your life.
The power of yoga is unexplainable and I’m over the moon that I get to share it with you.
You are welcome just as you are.

Gong & Sound Bath, 1st Friday each month, 7.30pm
Britta von Basedow
I was blown away and fascinated the first time I experienced a gong bath. From that very first moment I was in total awe with these handcrafted instruments. I now can’t imagine life without a gong.
While playing the gongs I channel energy and let that guide me. Every session is unique and can never be repeated, it is what it is in that moment. To me that is like nature, like watching a river or waves in the sea, they come and go, flow by; a scent of a pine tree in the woods, the experience in that one moment, that is, but cannot be grasped.
I see myself like a conduit for the sound to come into being. So I am not a healer, but the receiving of the created sound waves and vibrations might stimulate one’s body to activate its own self-healing abilities and positive energy. And all that is what I enjoy to share with others. I draw inspiration from my shamanic practice & journeying, as well from my own experiences of working in stressful work environment / industry and from her own healing journey through which I see & realised that sometimes we just need a safe space where we can stop the thinking & talking and just be…
Britta is a certified Gong & Sound-healing Practitioner. She is also extremely creative as an artist & photographer, a nature lover and practices shamanism and 5Rhythms dance.
“Britta’s session are very intuitively held and with high level of gong playing” – Frank
“You make magic with everything you touch, You touch me!” – Murielle T.
“When I hear a Gong I feel like I hear the sound of the Universe.”
“It streams through my entire body like a reset to energise me.”

Sound Experience - not currently running
Kate Mckenzie and Zoot Lynam
I found myself at a yoga class many years ago. At first, it was a means to keep myself in the best condition mentally and physically. As a young actress, I saw it as a way to keep my ‘instrument’ well.
The practice became more and more absorbing and in 2000, I took my first yoga teacher training.
As it was in Kundalini yoga, where mantra plays a huge role, I quickly connected with some wonderful devotional musicians.
I’ve completed further trainings and studies in hatha, flow, yin and more.
I love to combine elements of these systems, the chakras, and the elements with sound to create a unique offering where I hope you can take time to find balance, calm and inspiration.
I hope you’ll join Zoot and me for a heart-opening sound experience.
